Datuk Dr. Mohd Daud Bakar is the Founder and Chairman of Amanie Group. He is currently Chairman of the Shariah Advisory Council (SAC) of Bank Negara Malaysia, Securities Commission (SC) of Malaysia, the Labuan Financial Services Authorities, PNB Shariah Supervisory and First Abu Dhabi Bank. He is also a Shariah board member of various financial institutions, including the Morgan Stanley (Dubai), Bank of London and Middle East (London), Noor Islamic Bank (Dubai), Salama Islamic Insurance (Dubai), National Bank of Oman, amongst many others. He is also the recipient of the ‘Most Outstanding Individual awarded by the King of Malaysia in 2014 and winner of the Shariah Adviser Award and Award of Excellence for Outstanding Contribution for Shariah Leadership and Advisory in 2016.
