For this issue, the theme of the magazine is skewed towards innovations and risk management. Through the magazine, we aim to provide readers with clear, sensible and reliable information on this topic from credible and trustworthy writers and experts. We hope the information provided is entertaining and informative but above all useful.
In this volume, IIFS was extremely privileged to have a renowned industry expert sharing his thoughts and views on innovations in Islamic finance in our ‘Global Insight’ column. He is Mr. Rafe Haneef, CEO of CIMB Islamic Bank Berhad. Besides, IIFS was fortunate enough to interview the Year 2017 winner of the ‘Upcoming Personality in Global Islamic Finance (Academic)’, Dr. Hylmun Izhar, who currently serves as an economist at Islamic Research and Training Institute (IRTI), Islamic Development Bank (IDB). He answered several questions on innovations and risk management. In addition, various areas of innovations in Islamic finance have been further explored through other columns such as ‘Food for Thought’, ‘Kalamuna’ and ‘Youth Corner’.
Last but not least, may this magazine play an important role in bringing all the Islamic finance experts together through the expression of their views and knowledge in the various columns of the magazine, for the sake of the betterment of the ummah.
