Shariah Advisory Council of Bank Negara Malaysia (the SAC) in its 167 meeting on 30 March 2016 discussed the Shariah issues concerning permissibility of incorporating contractual benefit to the lender in a qard contract, disclosure of historical hibah rate and acceptance of fund from Shariah non-compliant sources.
